Hope you are all well. In today’s post I’d like to share with you guys bedroom detail ideas, which I will personally be implementing soon!
With a month of spring gone already (how’s it gone so quickly?!) there’s nothing more exciting than re-arranging your bedroom to fit the season. Perhaps you want to move the bed to that other corner, or paint one wall in a contrasting colour. Or add something onto that wall to spice it up, for example a nice poster or a life size mirror. Whatever it is that you want to do, know that it will change your space, and quality of living! Investing in a little bit of re-arrangement ain’t bad, especially when it has to do with your home. For the record, I find that I enjoy spending time in my space a lot more when it looks good. And I’m sure it’s the same with you.
So, without further ado, let me slide some inspo here.
I’ll start off with a classic and maybe a little bit cliche of an idea. All you need? A string, maybe some brown twine will do? Some wooden pegs? Oh and pictures: lots and lots of pictures! Or postcards of your favourite quotes. It’s entirely up to you! What I like about this simple, yet statement idea is that it also shows a bit of who you are as a person. Where you’ve been, what you like and all that sort of stuff. Decor becomes a bit more personable, a bit more fun as you have your most amazing memories hanging down that piece of string. Definitely a must have in the bedroom. Now there’s lots of ways to present them pictures, this one not being the only one. You can be a little more creative and add a rustic feel to it, like a piece of wood where you can stick all the pictures, or a small wooden ladder. Again, it’s totally up to you and what suits your room and personality best!
What’s better to celebrate the season with than a plant! Yes, a plant. Plants make your space look peaceful and are themselves full of life. Especially now that it’s spring, it is essential that you have plants or flowers in the house. If you are a busy bee though, and seem not to find time to look after plants go with the latest trend (and may I say the best option): cacti. They are so cute, and better yet, they barely need any care. All they need is a good old temperature room, no humidity. They’re extra affordable as well. Plants are definitely a go to when you’re all about re-arrangements in the bedroom – or anywhere else in the home really. They give that refreshing look and they’re so cute! Need more excuses to opt for cacti? Well, I’m afraid I’m sold.
Onto bedding now… Personally, I find that plain bedding sets are best. You can pair them with almost anything of your liking. That’s why I opt for a plain white duvet cover and sheets. Apart from giving your room an elegant look, they also make it bright, which I like. Now I know that having white bed sheets is challenging as that means that you have to be extra careful with them in case they stain but come on, I mean they look beautiful. Paired with some fairy lights, and a few cacti, white bedding makes your room look enchanting and yourself feel calm at all times. I mean, who doesn’t want to wake up everyday thinking they’re living in a hotel? (Have you ever noticed that most hotels opt for white too?) It can’t be a coincidence, right?
And to finish off this brief, yet full of inspo post, I’d like to say that spring/summer must be the best time to re-think of your bedroom decor. Be a little bit creative, work on those diy skills and make your room YOUR OWN.
The aforementioned bedroom details might be old news to you, but honestly they don’t have to be or look exactly as they are in the pictures.
We are all creative and we all have our own taste, so take advantage of that and make your room a place where you can lift yourselves up when everything else is going downhill.
Hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I’ve enjoyed typing it up for you.
Have you re-decorated your room recently or are you all about doing that anytime soon? I’d love to hear some of your ideas and see some of your own diy’s! Let’s feed off each other’s inspo!
Until next time,
